    Hot In The City!
Had a great day down at Ocean Terminal yesterday doing a little bit of 'retail therapy' (nothing quite like it to beat those time-of-the-month blues). The weather here in Edinburgh has been mostly fantastic over the past couple of weeks. I generally have to be careful in the sun as I've got very pale skin but yesterday I just relished in its warmth. Even went to a secluded spot and sat topless for a while while enjoying lunch. There was a gentle cooling breeze coming off the water and it felt fantastic to feel it blowing across my nipples.

    Hair today...gone tomorrow?
To shave or not to shave? No, I don't mean DOWN THERE (I'm kind of comfortable being natural in that department thank you very much) I meant under my arms. It gets so tiresome having to shave there, not to mention how itchy it gets if you don't keep it up. There's a part of me that does it because it's nice to feel fresh and probably another part of me that does it because of societal pressure, like if you DON'T do it then you're considered some kind of hippy lesbian feminist (and just for the record I don't consider myself a hippy, I have fancied other girls and I do have some feminist leanings, though not to the point of thinking that all men are evil or anything).

Well, I guess I'll let fate decide for me. I'm out of razors right now so if I manage to make it to the shops after work tomorrow then I'll do it but if I don't then I'm going to start cultivating a little growth...

Am pretty sorry that Doctor Who is over now. I wasn't sure if I was going to get into it much, especially as I didn't really watch it when I was a kid (I think I missed all the cool Doctors anyway) but each episode of this last season has sucked me in more and more. Am now convinced that an old flatmate of mine was a Slytheen as she was a bit 'large' and farted a lot too!

Also I liked Christopher Eccleston but am looking forward to David Tennant taking over because he's way cuter!

    Roll on the Christmas special!

    Big Bad Wolf
And what's with all the BAD WOLF references? I must be slow, it was like two thirds of the way through the season when I put two and two together and remembered the old saying "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf". I get the feeling that there's somthing menacing that's always lurking off screen, somthing that's following them or keeping an eye on them.

    Perhaps its Council Tax collectors?

    Here today, gone tomorrow
I'm getting sad that Doctor Who is rapidly drawing to a close. Two more episodes to go for this season. I really like the relationship that the Doctor and Rose struck up. I only remembered the crap Doctors as I was growing up, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy. I've watched some of the BBC videos of the other Doctors, and I like Tom Baker, but I've got into this series far more than any of the previous ones. It's made me laugh (the farting Slytheen), cry (Rose going back in time to save her father) and be creeped out (the gas mask zombies) though instead of watching it from behind the soft I sit on the edge of it. I'm so jealous of Rose. Wish some tall, dashing stranger would whisk me off in his time/space machine for some out of this world adventure.

He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!
What is it with Bob Geldorf? I mean, I appreciate what he thinks he's trying to with Live 8, but I don't think for one minute that he's actually stopped to give thought to the implications of his actions. A million people descending on Edinburgh!?!? Hey, this isn't such a big city and its infrastructure can't cope with that many people at the one time. The Edinburgh City Council seems to think that. The Lothian and Borders Police seem to think that. But Bob, he's like "Yeah, yeah, yeah, well it's all for the good of mankind y'know..." - not for the good of Mankind in Edinburgh that's for sure!!!

And now, with Sail 8, he's trying to persuade boat owners to ship people over from the continent to take part. Yeah, he's gonna get a lot of response to that, especially from...ah...asylum seekers, illegal immigrants etc.

Man, although I'm too young to remember Live Aid, I used to have a lot of respect for what Bob Geldorf achieved but now, now I think he's seriously coming off the rails. Maybe he believes that he's like the messiah or something???

    Evil Twin
You know, there are some friends and colleagues that I know who claim that they keep seeing me around in places that I've never been to or haven't been to on the day/time in question. I'm beginning to think that, just like the movies or television series out there, that I've got an evil twin.

No, actually, come to think of it, I think I'M the evil twin so she must be my good twin. Confused? Hey, join the club, I've got a lifetime membership!
